Cindy Blevins

Cindy Blevins is a director and performer who earned a BA in Music from Emory & Henry College and an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University Health. She taught general music and choir outside of Richmond for five years before relocating to the New River Valley, where she has performed with Opera Roanoke, Summer Musical Enterprise, Mill Mountain Theatre, Blacksburg Master Chorale, Virginia Children's Theatre, and Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts.

Cindy served as Chairperson for Summer Musical Enterprise from 2009 to 2024, leading the organization through 16 musicals and multiple relocations. Her stage directing credits include Beauty and the Beast and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2023, SME). Musical directing credits include Bye Bye Birdie, A Christmas Story the Musical, and Bat Boy the Musical (Radford University), among others. MMT credits include Jersey Boys, Elf the Musical, Cabaret (Musical Director), Sound of Music, and To Kill A Mockingbird. In addition to her musical work, Cindy is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Life In Balance Counseling Center in Christiansburg.
