MMT is aggressively pursuing change and opportunity at this juncture.  Artistic Director Patrick Benton’s arrival coincided with an in-depth review and revision of our program offerings, the development of a new strategic/business plan, a targeted season launch, a capital renovation and seat-selling campaign, and two major challenge funding opportunities.  We are pleased to announce that our challenge funding has been met, new collaborations are in place, and the theatre has engaged in greater community outreach than in any previous season.  Education and outreach programming, as well as alternative theatre initiatives have experienced significant growth in attendance in the last year as well.  These energetic activities are all providing MMT the means by which to significantly reduce or eliminate its debt, expand programming that truly reflects the needs and spirit of our region, and herald an artistically rewarding, fiscally sound platform for the sustainability of not only the organization, but theatre arts in our community.
