How do I know if my script can be read at No Shame Theatre?
There are three basic rules for scripts to be read at No Shame Theatre:
1. The work must be from 3 -5 minutes in length. The idea is to read 15 or so per evening.
2. The work must be original. You can't just bring your text book of one act plays or steal someone else's idea. The work must be original to the playwright. After all, the whole point of No Shame Theatre is to allow a forum for new voices to be heard.
3. The actions in the performance must be LEGAL and must not HURT ANYONE. 'nuff said.

What is a reading of a script?
A script reading is the process of actors reading through and acting a play, even for the first time. It is the first step in bringing a play from the page to the stage. In No Shame Theatre, all the performances are readings since the scripts are collected a half hour before the show. However, a playwright and/or director can get together with actors beforehand and bring the script to No Shame with the actors prepared.
