Patrick comes to Roanoke from New Stage Theatre in Jackson, Mississippi. He has served there as the Artistic Director since the fall of 2002 and previously served as the Director of Education. Mr. Benton has directed and acted in numerous plays and also taught directing, acting, and fight choreography at the college level. Benton worked for six seasons as an actor, director and stage manager for the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival. He earned his M.F.A degree from Indiana University and a B.F.A. from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Benton is a member of Actor's Equity Association, the Southeastern Theatre Conference, and Theatre Communications Group. |
